Berry Cheesecake Tart

There’s the perfect time of year to celebrate berries. That’s the time of year when they’re juicy and ripe and beautiful and will work well for a berry crumble. They’re appearing at farmer’s markets, and they’re offered at a great price in the grocery stores. If you have good access to berries, then it’s time to whip up this beautiful, easy-to-make berry cheesecake tart (or my blueberry lemon tart).

✏️ How to make Berry Cheesecake Tart:

*The complete, printable recipe is in the recipe card at the end of this post.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400℉.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the strawberries and blueberries with 1 teaspoon of sugar and toss to combine. Set aside.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a 10×12-inch rectangle. Cut a ½-inch strip off each side of the rectangle. Lay the strips on top of each of the edges to create a rim. Transfer the pastry to a baking sheet; prick the center of the pastry all over with a fork. Bake for 20 minutes; let cool.
  4. In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the cream cheese, sugar and heavy cream. Spread this mixture on the cooled crust.

➡️ Tips and Substitutions:

  • Feel free to use any type of berry you’d like for this tart. Raspberries and smaller blackberries are a nice idea too.
  • Sliced fresh peaches would also be a nice idea to create a peach cheesecake tart.
  • It’s okay to use light cream cheese if you’d like to lighten things up a bit.

✔️ How to choose the best berries:

  1. Look for berries that have vibrant, rich colors. Strawberries should be bright red and blueberries should have a deep blue-purple hue.
  2. Gently touch berries to assess the texture. They should feel firm but not too hard or mushy. Avoid berries that are overly soft or have signs of bruising.
  3. If buying pre-packaged berries, inspect the container for any signs of mold, moisture, or damage. Avoid containers with crushed or leaking berries, as this may indicate spoilage.
