Pizza Kabobs are a fun way to eat pizza with makings of pizza added to a skewer, baked and served with warmed pizza sauce. Pizza on a stick!
Kids always think it’s fun to eat things off a stick, and we’ve already turned tacos into taco kebabs, so why not pizza? The great thing about this recipe is that you can try so many different pizza ingredients on the kabobs, so you’re designing them to meet the needs of all of your pizza eaters! And pizza sauce is served for dunking too. How fun is that?
Ingredients Needed:
- kielbasa
- whole fresh mushrooms
- cherry tomatoes
- sweet onion
- green bell pepper
- pepperoni
- refrigerated pizza crust
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- pizza sauce
How to make Pizza Kabobs:
The complete, printable recipe is at the end of this post.
- Preheat the oven to 400℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (or spray with nonstick spray).
- On 10 metal or wooden skewers, alternately thread the sausage, vegetables and pepperoni.
- Unroll the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface; cut widthwise into 1-inch strips. Starting at the pointed end of a skewer, pierce the skewer through one end of the dough strip. Spiral-wrap the dough strip around the skewer, allowing the vegetables and meats to peek through. Repeat with the remaining dough strips and skewers.
- Arrange the kabobs on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until the vegetables are tender and the pizza crust is golden, 10 to 12 minutes. Immediately sprinkle with cheese. Serve with pizza sauce.
Tips and Substitutions:
- Try a mix of ham and pineapple.
- For a meat lover’s kabob, use cooked meatballs, pepperoni, ham, bacon and sausage.
- It’s easy to make these vegetarian too, using all of your favorite veggies.
Make Ahead:
Prep these ahead, set them on a baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to bake!
